Data Sources, Measurement Methods & Provider Terms

Every quantitative panel states an “As of” time, source and method. Estimates and derived metrics are explicitly labeled.

Model catalog, pricing and host telemetry

Source: documented OpenRouter Models and model-endpoints APIs. Token Terminal converts per-token prices to USD per million tokens and displays OpenRouter-reported context, host uptime, 30-minute latency and throughput. These are third-party observations, not Token Terminal synthetic tests.

Provider status and SLA history

Source: each provider’s public Statuspage status and incident feeds. Current indicators are displayed as published. Token Terminal derives uptime by treating major and critical incident duration as downtime. It is an unofficial aggregation, not a provider-certified SLA.

Production volume

Automated collection from the OpenRouter rankings webpage is disabled because OpenRouter’s terms prohibit automated scraping. No volume measurement is shown until a documented API or licensed dataset is available.

Regional estimates

Regional shares and trends are directional modeled estimates based on public Similarweb and StatCounter reporting, manually synthesized as of September 30, 2026. They are not live feeds, vendor-reported users, revenue or API traffic. Using a live Similarweb feed would require an appropriate commercial license; StatCounter figures require attribution and carry sampling and revision limitations.

Advertising disclosure

External provider calls to action are advertising links and are labeled “Ad” or “Advertising.” Token Terminal may receive compensation when a visitor follows or uses them. A label does not imply provider endorsement or a verified paid relationship.
